Vintage Turkish kilim from the Istanbul bazaar

The pattern tells a story — each knot was deliberate. Somebody made this to last.

That's the opposite of everything designed to break. Hanging it meant choosing to slow down every time I look at it. The fade on the left edge is thirty years of a window I'll never see.
